The Fluitec CSE-XR Mixer/Heat Exchanger was developed and patented by Fluitec AG. It is the most significant invention in static mixing technology in the past 20 years. The CSE-XR is primarily used for temperature control of highly viscous liquids in laminar flow. We achieve strong and well-controlled homogeneity regardless of the situation, ensuring a short residence time distribution. The reason for its excellent performance lies in its geometry, which is based on the geometry of the most efficient static mixer type, the CES-X. The highly efficient radial flow mixing ensures consistent intensive flow against the internal heat transferred through tubes, enabling the compact design of this device.

Multitube heat exchangers often face challenges when it comes to increasing their size. Problems primarily arise in processes that require cooling in laminar flow, where the product can “freeze” in specific tubes due to its viscosity increasing with temperature decrease. Poorly controlled residence time distributions result in suboptimal production processes.
